I found out that the distance to Sestiem is over 500km and one third of the road is a gravel way, so I calculated that it takes 7 through 8 hours to get there. So I decided to depart early in the morning without having breakfast.  I put all my stuff on to my motorbike before dawn, and I departed before sunrise. I departed at 6:30 today. The state of the way of 2/3 is good as the person of JICA told me. Actually great! :-)  It was like too good to be the way I drive. 
 

するとお約束とおり途中から道が一気にグラベルになりました。ジャイカの方が未舗装といってもそんなに酷いものでないですよ、と教えてくれたのですが車にとっては確かにイケル道です。
しかしバイクだと結構厳しい場所も多く、ついに初転倒を期してしまいました。
無転倒記録もナミビアで終了です（苦笑）　転倒といっても超スロー走行中、砂地でフロントをとられての転倒なので全然、体もバイクも大丈夫です。
特にバイクはパニアケースが支えとなるため斜めの状態でバイクが倒れるのが止まるので助かる。
しかし超重量の荷物を積んでいるために、ほとんどの荷物を下ろさないと私でもこのバイクは起こせません。転倒の度に荷物の積み降ろしがあるのはストレスです。
 

Then the road turned to gravel along the way. The person who is from JICA told me that it's not so terrible even it's unsurfaced road and it is true if I drive a car. But there are many spots which are very tough for motorbikes and I fell as the first time at last. Unfallen record is the end in Namibia. *bitter smile* Even I said "fell", I and the motorbike is totally fine because the sand road while I was driving. Since pannier case serves as a support and that the motorbike breaks down from a slanting state stops, especially the motorbike is saved. But very heavy stuffs are put on the motorbike, so I cannot get it up without taking off most of the stuffs. It is very annoying that I have to put on/take off all stuffs every falling. 
 

そんな転倒をするほどの道はもうないだろうと願い？思いながら気を改めて走行しているとまれに４DWの車が私の横を抜いていきます。
ダートの場合、車のペースは全然早いです。私を抜いて行く時に挨拶をしていってくれます。
 

I was wishing that I don't get a road which makes me fall again anymore while I was driving, then a car of 4DW got ahead of my side rarely. When we have dirt road, the pace of a car is fast. And they greet me when they are getting ahead of me. 
 

そんな挨拶をした車が私を抜いていってしばらくすると、目を疑う光景が眼前に広がっていました。
ジンバブエで経験した、道が完全に川で消えてしまっているところに出ました。
それも結構、川幅は広く自分の足で確認したところ深く、流れも急です。
これは完全に途中で川の激流に倒される可能性大です。
かなり困っていたところに、なんと、前から先ほど抜いていった４WDの車がUターンして私の前に現れ、車から降りてきた男性が、「手伝おうか？」と言ってくれるではないですか！
もう、感激で涙モンです。
 

After the car which got ahead of me with greeting, the spectacle in which I could believe my eyes hardly had spread at hand. It was the same situation that I got an experience in Zimbabwe and I came to there that the road is completely disappear under the river. Moreover, when I checked on the river by my foot, the river width is wide, also has the depth and its flow is also sudden. This has a high possibility of being completely pushed down on the rapid stream of the river on the way. When I was in trouble considerably, the car of 4WD by which I was passed from before as the point made a U-turn, it appeared in front of me, and the man who has got off a car said to me, "May I help you?"  i was so impressed!
 

「是非、お願いしたい」といい、バイクの全ての荷物を車に積んでもらい、軽い状態になったバイクを川の中を進む際、倒れそうになったら支えてくれるように頼みました。
 

I said "Yes, please.", then I asked him to put all my stuff to the car and also asked him that I become falling, I get him to support when I go forward in the river by my motorbike which became light.
 

快諾してくれた彼は靴を履き替えて川の中で私のバイクを支えられるようにちゃんとしたスニーカーに履き替えて迷いなく私と私のバイクと一緒に淀んだ川の中に入りました。
彼は「アドベンチャー！」と笑って叫び、申し訳ながっている私に気配りまでしてくれました。
結果的にバイクが軽くなったお陰とヘルプが居てくれる安心感もあり無事に川を渡り切る事が出来ました。
彼はドイツ人で奥さんと一緒に旅行でアフリカに来ている方でした。
私の強い申し出にも関わらず一切の御礼を拒否しお互い撮影した写真を送り合う事になりました。
旅で泣けるほどの他人からの親切を既に沢山受けている。
これからの人生、私がどれだけ他人に返せるか。
 

He kindly agreed to help me and he changed his sneakers for back up me and my motorbike in the river. He entered into the river stagnant together with the motorbike of me and me, without wavering. He shouted "Adventure!" with smiling, and that is that he give an attention to me who was feeling sorry for him. Accordingly my motorbike becomes light and I had also sense of safety which is his support, so I was able to cross the river safely. He told me that he is German and came to Africa for traveling with his wife. I offered him to give the appreciation but he refused it, then we took pictures and promised to send those out to each other. I've gotten kind help and support many times in this journey. How much can I return to others in my future life?  
 

セスリエムに到着し、予約してあるロッジに入るまでずーっとダートでさすがに疲れた。
ナミビア砂漠の入り口の宿だけあって、ロッジのフロントに行くまでだけでも何度も転倒しそうになるほどの砂利。
またバイクを置く際、大雨と暴風がありますので気をつけて下さい。
と言われたが大丈夫だよ＾＾！と言ってみたががその３０分後、予言通り暴風と大雨に(苦笑)
 

I arrived at Sesriem. I was driving on dirt road until I got to the lodge which I book, so I became so tired. The lodge is located the entrance of the Namibia desert, so the road condition is gravel which made me falling many times. And the lodge clerk told me that it might be heavy rain and a storm so please be careful" when I parked my motorbike. I said "I'm OK! :-)" but 30 mins later it became a storm and heavy rain as predicted.  *bitter smile*
 

ロッジは完全に原野の中に立地しており見渡す限り人間が作ったものは何もない所。
 

It is a place in which anything does not have what people made as long as it was being completely located in the land when the lodge was overlooked. 
 

部屋に電話もなければテレビもない。もちろんインターネットもない。
部屋に入るとただ、ただ静かなだけ。
日が沈むと完全に暗くなることに改めて感動する。
部屋はテントで作った一軒家タイプ。

There is no phone and TV at the room. Of course no internet. When I enter the room, it is just quiet. I was anew impressed by becoming dark completely when the sun goes down. The room is the house type made from the tent. When I am writing this diary, some animals will have knocked at the tent. *scary*
 

明日はもう一泊してナミビア砂漠のツアーに参加することにした。
ロッジに入る前に砂漠地帯まで行こうと思ったらバイクは通行出来ませんということと決められた車両でないと入れないとのこと。
 

I decided to stay one more night here to join the tour of the Namibia desert tomorrow. I thought to try to go to the desert before going to the lodge but I found out that it cannot be passed through motorbikes, and it cannot enter unless it is the decided vehicles.

It came out of Keetmanshoop and has been visible to right-hand side after a while. What's the name of canyon?

ウインドフークに向かう国道から外れセスリエムに向かい道、最高の路面で気持ちイイ！

The way which separates from the national highway which goes to Windhoek and in which Sesriem goes is great road surface, so feel so good!

ランチ中に寄って来た虫。何だろう？

The bug which came close to me while I was having my lunch. What kind of bug is it?

ランチ中全く車も人も通りかかりません。風と鳥のさえずりだけで他に音は何も聞こえない。思わず「やっほー！」と大声で叫んでみた。三回も。それでも何も起こらない(笑)　本気で大声を張り上げてみたのは何年ぶりだろう？

While I was having lunch, cars or people didn't pass by at all. I don't hear any sounds without the wind and singing voice of birds. I shouted involuntarily in a loud voice, "Yoo-hoo." Actually did 3 times. But nothing didn't happen, (lol) It's been years since I shouted a loud voice?

遂にやってしまった初転倒の図(笑)　荷物を積んだままでは起こせなかった。【転倒→荷物下ろし→バイク起こし→荷物積み→走行再開】というルーティンの手間を考えれば一段と速度を落として走ったほうがいいことは重々判っているのだが。。

This is the picture that finally I did a falling. (lol) I couldn't get the motorbike up with putting all the stuff on. When I consider about the routine which is "Falling --> Carrying staff down --> Restarting to drive", I understand enough that I better reduce the driving speed though...

眼前には無情に立ちはだかる道を飲み込む川。

The way is blocked heartlessly by the river which swallows it upon my sight. 

悲壮感１０００％の所に向こうからUターンしてくる車が！まさにヒーロー登場！！！！！！（超嬉）

I was feeling the sense of despair, then I can see one car which made a U-turn and is coming toward here! It IS the HERO!!!!!! *so happy*

He said "I have a BMW motorbike at my house in Germany also". A lovable rider! 

やっとの思いで到着したロッジが山の麓に小さく見えてきた。

The lodge at which I arrived with great difficulty has looked small at the foot of a mountain. 

一軒ごとに分かれている。テントに藁葺きの屋根がはってある。

It is divided for every house. The straw-thatched roof is stuck on the tent. 

レストランではバルコニーでも食事が出来る。

At the restaurant, a meal is ready also on a balcony.
