When I meet some people while traveling, they try to find a timing to ask something to me.

"How is your family?"

Ha ha, that's right question, isn't that?

I will have left Japan for 15 months, moreover I understand that normally people think that if we have a family, we won't travel around the world including Aflica by a risky bike.

Yes, I have ONE wife (Of course) and sweet 2 kids (10 & 12 years old).

It's been a long time to talk with my family on skype this morning.
It was morning in Guatemala and night in Japan.
1

Well, Development of civilization is wonderful, isn't it?!
Now, we can talk with looking at each other's faces for free even from the other side of the earth!!!

I think about the hardship of travelers from the passed, my journey is nothing.
Because when I feel lonely, I can communicate with my people with like this tools.

I finished all my errands in the morning, and I go visit to Tikal National Park from the afternoon!
2

The woods are becoming deeply.

I arrive when we drive a little more than 30 km from the hotel of Lake Pete'n Itza.

After parked my bike and go to entrance gate by walk then there is one Japanese there!
3

He is from Fukuoka and travel around the world as a backpacker. He is Mr. Heikichi Heima.
His name is easy to remember.

He said he is leaving here, so gave me the park map.
It was very helpful.

This is Mr. Heima's blog. http://heikichiblog.wordpress.com/
It's very wonderful!

We had exchanged information and had chat for a while. He will be back to Japan next May which is close to my returning, so we promised to see each other in Japan again and said good bye.

Have a nice trip & see you again!

Well, I go into the maximum oldest ruins city of Mayan civilization at last.

People live here from B.C. and it is to have carried out prosperity till around era 800.
Since the deforestation had been repeated for city maintenance or development, harvest of agricultural products had become difficult and it became impossible to overcome the famine of the certain time. And people had gone away and it traced the history of being buried in again deep forest.

It is just the leeson of present-day global warming.

And about 300 years ago, it has forgotten about in 2000 and the shut door was opened.
The Spanish missionary who escaped the persecution from indigenous people and entered the hinterland of this forest met with the mysterious building.

I walks inside the garden.
It takes 30 minutes, even if I walk in a hurry without stopping on the way from the first gate to a temple at the very back.
It is a 16-square kilometer vast ruins city.

It's a pure white tree of seiba.
5

It is said holy tree of Maya

I arrived at the popular venue which is Grand Plaza.
6

The No.1 temple.

It is said that 10,000 people lived at least.
7

8

There is the No.5 temple beyond one mountain.

Well, the Spanish missionary who found these had been probably surprised!!

We can meet many animals in the park.
9

Piculet.
It is moving the wooden trunk, making a hole all the time.
9−1

Coati.
This is cute
9−2

Colorful and very beautiful "toucan" .
It was shining in woods.

While I am walking along the way, I hear some sounds above my head.
9−3

It's a "spider monkey".
Just like a Tarzan, monkey crosses a tree from next to next!

Oh, it's not. "Tarzan crosses like a monkey", doesn't it?

I climb the No. 4 temple which is proud of the highest height in this city.
In the history, this is the building which had been the most highest in the Americas until Columbus has gone on land.

These stairs are long!
I ascend being short of breath.
I take a break on the way.

When I arrived here, it was 16:00ish.
Other tourists have left already and it was really quiet.

It is a cry like howling of gorillas, and the sound of the tree passage of monkeys and the voice of wild birds that can be heard.

When I arrived at the Pyramid temple, there was one security guy but he left like switching with me. *laugh*

I sit down at the top of the stone step and overlook the endless forest.

A deep deep sigh comes out.

Although it is a wonderful view, it is not suitable in the word "superb view."

"The place made to consider one's life"

that I would say...

Although I stayed for about 3 to 4 hours, I think that I saw about 1/5 of the whole.
I would like to visit also here with my family and pleasant friends next time.

Before I returned to the hotel, I thought that it was a cafeteria and I entered, but it was a restaurant with the sufficient view of the hotel combination which has a pool in the back in fact.

The local couple is talking love together?

Since I don't understand even if I look at a menu, I ordered a restaurant's recommendation.

The fish which was able to be caught in Lake Pete'n Itza was set up.
It is a white fish called Pell Kad Blanco.

Though there was a bad smell slightly, this was nice!

Thanks to development of civilization, I could talk with my families who are in Japan this morning.
And the afternoon, I saw the city which became The Lost World, as a result of developing civilization further.

Although it is said that history is repeated, people nowadays live in this time can continue living this time wisely and for a long time however.
