パナマ運河のミラフローレス閘（こう）門を見に行きます。
ちなみに朝から雨だったため、バイクを出すのがおっくうなのでタクシーを使いました。
タクシーの運ちゃん曰く、
I'm going to see Miraflores locks at Panama Canal.
It was raining from morning and I don't feel like to drive my motorbike, so I used a taxi.
And the driver said
「パナマは一年のうち、９ヶ月か１０ヶ月は雨だからよぉ」と。
"Panama rains for nine months to ten months among one year."
それでも観光地として栄えているのは多くの魅力があるからなのでしょう。
Even though it is lots of rain, it will still be prosperous as a tourist resort because there are lots of attractions.
パナマ運河は「地球歴史上、最大の建設工事」と言わしめたもの。
これは必見でしょう！
The Panama Canal is the building which is called "the top of the construction work in the earth history."
Can't miss it
大西洋と太平洋を水路でつなぐために、アメリカ大陸のど真ん中をぶったぎったように作ったものです。
USAが作り、工期は約１０年間で１９１４年に完成している。
船舶の通行料は数十万〜数千万円と言われていて、１０年前までずっとこの利権をパナマに返還しなかったことはあまりにも有名。
In order to connect the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean by water route, it was contracted as the middle of the U.S. continent was cut.
The United States has constructed this and it had taken almost 10 years, and it completed in 1915.
It is very famous that the toll of a vessel is said to be rom hundreds of thousands of yen to several million yen, and the United States has not returned these rights to Panama for 10 years.
この閘門（：高低差がある水路を調整するために仕切られた水門） を見学するためのスタンド席と博物館が設置されています。
到着すると、ちょうど、大きな貨物船が通り過ぎた後で、次の船舶が入って来ました。
In order to this lock gate that is a sluice divided to adjust a waterway with a vertical interval, stand seats and the museum are installed.
When I arrived, a big cargo vessel has just passed and came into a next vessel.
どれが船だか、わかりますか？
今、水位が低い状態です。
Can you recognize which one is a vessel?
Now the water level is low.
水位を高くしていくと、
And when the water level is getting higher,
船が浮かび上がりました！
これにはスタンドから歓声が上がっていました。
the vessel is coming uo to float!
A cheer was arising from the stand with this.
そしてこの門が開かれ、船は進んでいきます。
And the gate is opened and a vessel is going forward.
構造が判り易く理解出来るアニメがありました。
There was an animation which structure can understand intelligibly.
次に向かった所は、カスコ・ビエホという歴史地区です。
うっかりするとすぐ隣のデインジャラスゾーンに入ってしまうので要注意。
The history area which is called Casco Viejo that I went next.
If we don't be careful, we go into the dangerous area.
夜でなくとも、絶対に一人で入り込んではいけない処。
This area cannot be gotten into alone even at daytime.
歴史地区に伸びるセントラルアベニュー
This is Central Avenue in the history area,
左右に長く商店が並びます。
Many stores are located in a line with right and left.
パナマ湾から見る歴史地区。
ここは町全体が世界遺産に指定されています。
It is a history area seen from Gulf of Panama.
The whole town is designated as world heritage here.
向かいが新都心地区。
Opposite the new downtown area.
香港に似た感じでした。
It looks like Hong Kong i felt.
この新旧と貧富の差の混在が、パナマシティの最大の特徴なのでしょう。
Mixture of the difference of old and new and wealth and poverty is the greatest feature of Panama City probably.
宿に戻る途中、日本食屋をもう一軒、発見。
I found one Japanese restaurant on my way back to the hotel
「GINZA TEPPAN YAKI」と英表記がある。
It says "GINZA TEPPAN YAKI" in English.
あ、日本語も書いてあるね。
Oh, there are Japanese sign too.
ん？
What?
惜しい。
Almost!
さてさて、困ったことに、こちらパナマで子供インタビューの予定をしていた方に連絡が取れません。
Well, I cannot get a contact with the person who I planned to give an interview.
一瞬、焦りますが、必ず何とかなる！とプラス思考に切り替えて、改めて町へ取材に出ます。
I felt frustration one moment but I change my mind to positive way like "I can make it somehow!" and go to a town for interviews.
子供を持つ家族と出会えそうな場所を数カ所廻りますが、日曜のためうまく良い場所に行き当たりません。
I go around some places which there are possibilities to meet some families but today is Sunday, so I cannot get good a place.
一休みを兼ねてマックに立ち寄ると、リタイヤされた位いの男性、Raul（ラウル）さんが声をかけてくれました。
I tried to take a break and stopped by McDonald's, and the gentle man whose name is Raul talked to me.
私の旅の事、活動の事を話すと協力すると申し出て頂け、理想の家族を見つけて通訳をしてくれることになりました！
I told him about my trip and activities then he offered me that he will support me to find an ideal family and translate!
もー、ホント、なんて私はついているのでしょう！！
Wow... How lucky I am!!

The left side gentle man is Mr. Raul.
また、出会った家族が良い人達で、とっても快くインタビューに応じてくれることになりました。
And the family that I met was so nice and accepted to have an interview sweetly.
もし、お互い時間が許せば、ずっと話しをしていたいほど素晴らしい人柄とウマが合う方々でした。
They were wonderful and I could get along with them, so I would love to talk with them if I could have more time.
問題があるとすれば私の英語だ。。
If there is a problem, that is my English...
はー。
Hmmm....
もう、絶対に英語、上達するぞ！！！
（来夏、短期間ですが語学留学することにしました。）
I will definitely get improve my English!!!
(I decided to go abroad to study English next summer for short period.)

皆でフェースブックやメールアドレスの交換などをして、本当に素晴らしい友達に恵まれたね、と互いを賞賛して別れることになりました。
We exchanged Facebook and email address and gave credit each other that we have really wonderful friends then we said good-bye.
その後は、ラウルさんの奥さんが従事する教会まで行こうとなり、散歩がてらしばしの会話を楽しみます。
After that, I and Mr. Raul went to the church which his wife engages and we enjoyed our conversation on our way there.
パナマも心温まる人達に出会うことが出来、北米の仕上げ、南米の始まりに最高の場所となりました。
I could meet heart-warming people in Panama and this became the best place for the finish of North America and the beginning of South America.

パナマ運河のミラフローレス閘（こう）門を見に行きます。
ちなみに朝から雨だったため、バイクを出すのがおっくうなのでタクシーを使いました。
タクシーの運ちゃん曰く、
I'm going to see Miraflores locks at Panama Canal.
It was raining from morning and I don't feel like to drive my motorbike, so I used a taxi.

さてさて、困ったことに、こちらパナマで子供インタビューの予定をしていた方に連絡が取れません。
