クリスマスの音楽がこの南米でも流れていますが貧しさを感じるボリビアにいると込み上げてくるものがあります。
そんな中、この寄付をして下さる方の存在に私自身、勇気をもらっています。
Although Christmas music has played in South America, I feel poverty in Bolivia, so some feelings are coming up to my heart.
Then, I have also got courages from existence of those who do this contribution.

宿の窓からのラパスの景色

今日は朝一で、BMWディーラーへメンテナンスに行きます。
I go to BMV dealer for maintenance from the morning today.
ラパスの道は入り組んでいるのと起伏が激しいので、思うように目的地に向かえず苦労します。
いきなり行き止まりでこの先、ガケ・・みたいなところが一杯ww
Since the way in La Paz being complex and ups and downs are intense, I cannot go to the destination smoothly so I have rough time.
There are many places like suddenly it is the end of the road and cliff.
独り言でブーブー文句を言いながら、どうにか到着。。
I grumble myself then finally I could arrive.
うっかり写真を撮影するのを忘れるほど、こじんまりとしたディーラーです。
豊かでないボリビアではBMWの需要は相当少ないことが道を走っていても、店舗の大きさでも判ります。
ちなみに、私が泊まっているホテル（５つ星）のスタッフでさえ、BMWのメーカーを知りませんでした・・。
It is the dealer carried out in a small way, so that I forget to take pictures carelessly.
In Bolivia which is not rich, I can tell that it has low demand for BMV from the size of this store.
And even the hotel people that I stay and it's 5 star hotel doesn't know about BMW...
サービスの担当者で英語の出来るカルロスはとても親切です。
私が要望するメンテの内容と、バイクが抱えているトラブルをしっかり伝えます。
メンテが仕上がる時期を夕方、私に電話してくれる、とのことでバイクを預けます。
Carlos who is in charge of service can speak English and very kind.
I tell him my request of maintenance contents and also troubles which my motorbike have now.
He told me that he will let me know complete time of the maintenance and I leave my motorbike there.
一旦ホテルに戻って事務作業をした後、ランチと子供インタビュー取材のため街へ出ます。
I went back to the hotel and did my document works, and after that I go to the town for having lunch and giving interview.
このラパスでもタクシー呼び込みのクラクションが鳴り響きます。
The horn of taxi calling in resounds even in La Paz.
さらに客の呼び込み屋がタクシーの行き先を大きな声を張り上げています。
その声や、フロントガラスにある行き先を見て客は乗り込んでいきます。
ラパスの風物詩として欠かせないものでしょう☆
Moreover, doormen is telling the destination with very loud voice.
Passengers listen the voice or see the destination sign at front glass and come into a taxi.
Probably, this is indispensable as a true symbol of La Paz.

I was wondering where do they bring the line then they bring from telephone pole.
Is that legal?
７月１６日通りにある学生広場。
It's student open space in Av.16 de Julio.
物乞いをする人と子供、物売り、ゆっくりと時間を過ごす人、観光者の外国人、いろんな人が集まる広場ですが、ここボリビアの人は他人のことは気にしない。
慣れると居心地もよいのかも。
Although it is an open space for gathering various people or kids who beg for something, sell something, relax and foreign people who are sightseeing, Bolivians do not care about others' thing. If we get used to it, it might comfortable to stay.
今日、街で靴磨きをしてもらったんですよね。
この旅が始まった頃は、人に靴を磨いてもらうなんてとんでもない！と思っていました。
特に小さな子供が寄って来た日には可哀想で・・。
ですが、今は必要であればやってもらうようにしています。
彼らはその僅かな代金（このラパスでは２ボリビーノ：２１円）がとても大切な生活費になっているから。
I had shoe shining today.
When I started this journey, I thought that it was ”No Way!" to have people to polish my shoes.
Especially little kids came to me, I felt so sorry.
But I ask them to do it now if I need it.
Because even this little money (it's 2Bs in La Paz.) will be very important their cost of living.
クリスマスソングが聞こえる町中で、オモチャ屋のショーウインドウから中を眺める家族を目にします。
そして、その前には物乞いの子供を連れた家族もいます。
I can see a family who see a show window of a toy store in the town with Christmas music.
And there is a family with kids for begging in front of them.
今日、うちの子供達へのクリスマスプレゼントの件で家内と相談のメールをやり取りしました。
I exchange e-mail with my wife about Christmas presents of my kids today.
いろんな想いが湧いてくるボリビアのクリスマスウィークです。
Lots of feelings come out from me on Christmas week in Bolivia.
ただ、食に困窮する家庭へ食材を日夜、運び続けてくれるセカンドハーベストへの貢献の旅をしていることが私の心の支えになっています。
そして何よりもこのプロジェクトに賛同してくれる多くの方に深く感謝。
寄付って、本当は誰を一番救うのかっていうと自分なんだよね。
However, it is a support of my heart to travel in the contribution to Second Harvest which continues carrying foods to families which become destitute in food every day.
And I am very grateful to many people who consent to this project more than anything.
Contributing has saved ourselves most.
今日は、ケンちゃん食堂が定休日で休みなので別の和食レストランへ。
The Ken-chan restaurant is closed today, so I go to other Japanese restaurant.
かつカレー定食を注文します！
I order a combo menu of curry with deep flied pork!
ぎょえー、メチャメチャ大盛り＝w
肝心なかつカレーの味はそこそこでしたが、漬け物と、みそ汁が絶品！
７００円くらいだったかな。
Wow, it big!
Although the main dish of curry with deep flied pork was ok taste, Japanese pickle and miso soup are great!
It's about 700 JPY.
夜になってもカルロスから結局電話がない・・。
うーん、大丈夫かな。
明日の朝一で確認してみよう。
これで、ラパス二泊の予定が三泊に決定です。
Carlos doesn't call me even it turns to the night.
Hmmm... is it alright?
Let's try to check tomorrow morning.
So I have to change to extend one more day to stay here.
今日、街を歩きながら「子供インタビューボリビア編」を試みるがちょうど良い子供は皆、英語が出来ないときた。
このボリビアを含めて残りの南米諸国は担当してくれる方がいない。
Although I tried to give an interview when I walked around the town today, the kids fitted the interview age but they cannot speak English.
There is nobody to do translate in rest of South American countries including Bolivia.
自力で協力者を探すことになるわけだが、なんとか通訳者なしでもスペイン語で聞いてみたい。
そこで、これを見せれば大丈夫！というスライドを作った。
I need to look for people who can cooperate, but I want to give interviews in Spanish without an interpreter.
Then, I made the slide which I can just show this when I give an interview.
写真のスライドは、出発前に協力者が作って下さったものです。
これにさらに、最初にスペイン語で声をかける内容のスライドを翻訳ソフトを使って作ってみた。
This slide was made by my supporter before I started this journey.
Moreover, I made a slide which I talked to people in Spanish for first step with using translating application.
中米〜南米はほぼスペイン語オンリーなのでなんとなく感覚的に慣れてきた＾＾
I'm getting used to Spanish because from middle to South American countries people speak almost only Spanish.
よし、これで残りの国、子供インタビューが益々楽しくなりそうだ！
Well, kid's interviews in the remaining countries will be more fun!

今日は朝一で、BMWディーラーへメンテナンスに行きます。
I go to BMV dealer for maintenance from the morning today.
ラパスの道は入り組んでいるのと起伏が激しいので、思うように目的地に向かえず苦労します。
