I started getting ready to leave at sun rise.
1

The horizon in the big open area contrasted with the orange of the sun rise. The view was breathtaking.

2

This is the sun rise.

The very fast Cessna was taking off in the morning.

It was my turn.
I wonder how far I can go today…

I was asked a question by my wife who reads this blog.

“How far are you going tomorrow?”

My answer to this question has changed since I’ve arrived in Australia.

“I don’t know. My destination is as far as I can ride in that day.”

Since I carry my own tent, I drive as far as I can go, then sleep there.
My journey became more journey-like.

I stopped by the view point on the side of the road.

This is Great Australian Bight.
The Indian Ocean is on the right and the Pacific Ocean is on the left.
The South Pole is on the opposite side.

I got a “hot dog with a lot” at the gas station I stopped by for a lunch break.
Oh, by the way.  “With a lot” means “deluxe” in Japan.

It was really good!

I often see many clocks on restaurant walls around this area.
7

This is because the time changes a little as you go.

I’ve already changed time twice today.

This is called the Road Train. It’s a very long trailer.
4

It’s a lot longer than the ones in the U.S.!
I parked my bike in the middle of the road train. It looked so small!

The temperature kept going up.
5

The temperature meter shows 43°C, but it was 44°C earlier.

This is the second highest temperature since I’ve started my journey.
(The first was 48°C in Turfan, China. The third was 42°C in Mali.)

I usually have a good tolerance against heat. I guess I can complement myself on this.
This is because I was strained at Suzuka for eight hours at the Endurance Road Race in the middle of summer.

Look at this.
6

This sign says that this road is a runway for emergency situations.

It was a long day!
Maybe it’s because the time difference caused me to gain two hours.

9

I managed to put the tent up before it got dark today.

【I am here!】
10

I want to enter Perth without stopping tomorrow!
