I'm deeply moved by the fact that I'm being supported in this way even by persons I have not even met once.
Just as I have been supported by many different people, I intend to go on refreshed and even more focused in support of others.

8[Chile] Santiago Part 8
February 8th, 2012 (Wednesday)
Well, finally I have packed all my luggage, and it's time to go to Santiago Airport.
And even though the flight is only scheduled for after 11pm, the hotel told me when I talked to them that I was nicely told that I was welcome to stay up until the time I was to leave for the airport.
Thanks very much!
Without paying for staying longer and able to stay till the evening in the hotel, I was able to make effective use of my time.
In the morning there was a phone call from the bike shipping company, who informed me that the bike would arrive in Sidney on the 12th.
Then he said 'I'll call again' and hung up, however, no more phone calls came since.
Hmmm, would that be going alright??
Continuously telling myself that 'no news is good' news I made my way to the airport to spend the remaining time till departure there.
Santiago's 'Arturo Merino Benitez' Airport.
It's is fairly new and spacious.
And that statue – what's that supposed to be???
They probably just wanted to somehow make use an otherwise unused space.
And then, also this time I was seen of by JUGO Minohara-san.
The last time this was the case, was last year at the end of August, when I left Eurasia and boarded the ferry at Vladivostok, Russia.
As we JUGO and me parted ways we did take a picture, however we made such outrageous faces that I have to vet the picture's publication :D
I really had a good time: Thank you very much!
He's going to return to Japan ahead of me, but enough not to hear his laughter any more. Get back home safely, you hear me?!
And then, of course, we'll meet again in Tokyo!
And while JUGO and me are chatting over dinner, we forgot the time, and when we noticed it was dangerously, dangerously close to boarding time.
What a time for a flight!
This said, the security checks where super simple, to the degree that they could just as well let them be.
It was OK not to take the laptop out of the hand luggage, and even the water could stay in the PET bottle as long as the bottle was in the day bag.
I caught myself thinking whether it would have made any difference if I'd carried my mountain knife in the hand luggage …
Well, it seems that the rout from Chile to Australia is a rather safe one :D
The plane was a Boing 777.
A completely new hightech plane.
And suddenly this is the day where I will be leaving South America behind me.
It sit down in my seat, and close the seat belt.
And then I take a deep, deep breath.
It's hard to believe that I've driven already across 4 continents.
Really, South America – It all was good fun!
And then I realise that the plan's wheels have already separated from the run way on take off.
Gracias Amigo!
Adios, Bonita!
